Daffodils by the Bushel

Bushels have no set count as they contain all sizes of bulbs. It is difficult to estimate what is in each full bushel. On average a full bushel contains approximately 300-350 bulbs.  See descriptions below for average bulb count and size range.

We offer the following limited varieties of Daffodil bulbs in bushel and half-bushel quantities, as a very economical way for you to plant masses of blooms.  Excellent for naturalizing, perennializing or for large informal plantings or meadows, they are available in full or half bushels. 

These are what's known as "field run" bulbs.  We can't give you an exact count as as they are comprised of all sizes that will bloom reliably.  But we guaranty that they will be of a size that will bloom.  See below for average bulb count and size range. 

Since the size of the flower is directly related to the size of the bulbs, if you desire bulbs for more formal plantings (in your flower beds), we suggest that you purchase our largest sized bulbs shown on our main pages.
